BURKE, Jim - Passed away at Fort McMurray, Alberta on Wednesday, November 6, 2013, Jim Burke of Carbonear, age 63 years. Predeceased by parents: Albert and Elizabeth. Leaving to mourn, sons: Keith (Allison), Conception Bay South, Randy (Darlene), Fort McMurray, AB and Robbie (Debbie), Bay Roberts; five grandchildren: Taylor, Jeremy, Mahala, Eric and Josh; three brothers: Vernon (Dorothy Scott), Goulds, Dan (Joan) and Ken (Betty), both of Carbonear; four sisters: Linda (Jim, deceased) Squibb, Carbonear, Louise (Frank, deceased) Severn, Conception Bay South, Beth (Reg) Coombs, Goose Bay and Genevieve (Jerry, deceased) Oates, Carbonear; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Sunday from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. and Monday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. At Jim's request, cremation to follow. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, November 13 at 11:00 a.m. from Bethany United Church, Carbonear. Inurnment in Park Avenue United Cemetery, Carbonear South. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Jim Burke Memorial Fund.
