Predeceased by parents: Walter and Stella Gilbert; brothers: Freeman and Neil; sisters: Mae, Eileen and Mildred. Leaving to mourn, wife: Joan; one daughter: Krista Gilbert (Geoffrey Whalen), St. John's; one son: Cally (Tina), Highlevel, AB; two step-grandchildren: Whitney and Lexie; one brother: Murley (Carrie), Fall River, NS; sister-in-law: Gwen Gilbert, Swift Current; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Tuesday from 8:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00p.m. Funeral service to take place on Thursday, July 5 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Carbonear.
