SPARKES, Charles H. - Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, St. John's on Sunday, February 9, 2014, Charles H. Sparkes of Lower Island Cove, age 71 years. Predeceased by parents: Douglas and Nellie. Leaving to mourn, two sons: Glen (Lynn) and Gary (Tara), both of Newmarket, ON; five grandchildren: Edlynn, Justine, Joann, Logan and Teagan; one brother: Victor (Jean), Ajax, ON; one sister: Doris (Lester) Sparkes, Victoria; also a large number of other relatives and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Thursday, February 13 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Western Bay. Inurnment in the Salvation Army Cemetery, Lower Island Cove.
