HARRIS, Chesley H.- Passed peacefully away at the Hoyles Escasoni Complex, St. John's on Monday, October 8, 2007, Chesley H. Harris of Carbonear, age 89 years. After 36 years working with Asarco in Buchans, "Safety Ches" retired in Carbonear (1982). Predeceased by parents: John and Mary Ellen, sisters: Mildred, Lillian, Beatrice and Ethel, brother: John. Leaving to mourn wife: E. Frances; three sons: James (Ethel), Carbonear, Chesley, Glenwood and William (Erika), Dartmouth, NS; three daughters: Mary (Edward) Pridham, St. John's, Audrey (Maurice) Mullins, Clarenville and Ethel (Wayne) Smith, Dartmouth, NS; eleven grandchildren: Jimmy Harris (Robyn), Nadine Pridham (Danny), Natasha Pridham (Robert), Dana Beaton (Sandy), Becky Barbour (Gordon), Craig Mullins, Patrick Harris, Shannon Harris, David Smith, Billy Smith and James Smith; one great-granddaughter: Nora Barbour; one brother: Wilbert (Mary) Harris, Carbonear; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear until 12:00 noon Thursday, October 11. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at St. James Anglican Church, Carbonear. Interment in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to St. James Anglican Church, Carbonear.
