EVANS, Eli - Passed away in the presence of his loving family at the Carbonear General Hospital on Monday, March 11, 2013, Eli Evans of Carbonear; formerly of Winterton, age 81 years. Predeceased by parents: Robert and Mamie; brothers and sisters. Leaving to mourn, wife: Louise; seven daughters: Sandra Mullins (Barry), Edmonton, AB, Myrtle (Ron) Legge, Goulds, Marion (Raymond) Taylor, Bay Roberts, Marjorie (Robert) Vincent, Spaniard's Bay, Mamie Evans, Whitbourne, Trish (Raymond) Williams, New Harbour and Rhoda Evans, Carbonear; two sons: Lewis (Trudy), Fredericton, NB and Gene (Dale), Heart's Delight; ten grandchildren: Benny, Craig, Natasha, Krista, Amanda, Matthew, Jonathan, Jordan, Kelsey and Lacey; eleven great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Sadie (George) Shediac, Nova Scotia and Jean O'Keefe (Edgar), St. John's; special homecare worker: Pauline Penney, Carbonear; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Carbonear. Funeral service to take place on Thursday, March 14 at 2:00 p.m. from the Salvation Army Citadel, Carbonear.
