DAVIS, Elizabeth L. 'Betty' - Passed peacefully away at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Friday, February 7, 2014, Elizabeth L. 'Betty' Davis of Carbonear, age 72 years. Predeceased by husband: Carl, parents: James and Edith Paul, brother: Adam Paul. Leaving to mourn, three daughters: Cindy Platoni, New Jersey, USA, Carol Ann (Kerry) Noel and Sherry Carpenter (Howard), both of Carbonear; seven sons: Jeff Dowd, New Jersey, USA, Rick (Lynn), Bristol's Hope, Jamie (Judy), Carbonear, Randy (Wanda), Spaniard's Bay, Todd (Janis), Ontario, Rod (Michelle), Carbonear and Cory (Lori), Ontario; one step-son: George (Karen) Power, Ontario; twenty-one grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; four sisters: Minnie Comptello, Florida, USA, Hazel Symon, New York, USA, Muriel (Beaton) Best, Wesleyville and Rachel Handrigan, Dark Cove, Gambo; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Monday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, February 11 at 2:00 p.m. from Bethany United Church, Carbonear. Interment in Bethany United Cemetery, Carbonear.
