PIKE, Elizabeth - Passed peacefully away at the Lion's Manor Nursing Home, Placentia on Thursday, August 2, 2012, Elizabeth Pike of Carbonear, age 90 years. Predeceased by husband: Jordan, 1985; sisters: Veta Polem and Beatrice Martin. Leaving to mourn, three daughters: Carol (Max) Powell and Donna (Bill) Smith, both of Carbonear and Juanita (Gerry) Slade, Cambridge, ON; two sons: Jim (Greta), Winterton and Danny (Glenda), Carbonear; step-son: Frank Pike, Harbour Grace; twelve grandchildren: Max, Steve (Annette), Joanne (Terry), Karol-Ann, Danny (Jill), Jeremy (Teri-Lynn), Carolyn, Rachelle (Bob), Robyn, Susan, Joshua and Elizabeth (Rich); fifteen great-grandchildren; two half-brothers: Sterling (Colette) Seward and Gerald (Nancy) Seward, both of Ontario; two half-sisters: Phyllis Cull, Broad Cove and Florence (Ed) St. George, Heart's Desire; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, August 4 at 2:00 p.m. from Bethany United Church, Carbonear. Interment in Bethany United Cemetery, Carbonear. As an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to Bethany United Church, 2 Church Street, Carbonear, NL, A1Y 1A9.
