SHANAHAN, Elizabeth R. 'Betty' - Passed peacefully away at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Tuesday, November 8, 2011, Elizabeth R. 'Betty' Shanahan of Riverhead, Harbour Grace, age 85 years. Predeceased by: husband: Robert; brothers: Maurice, Edward, Michael, James and Bernard Mahoney; sisters: Mary Meaney, Margaret Mahoney and Ann Wade; son-in-law: Peter Foley. Leaving to mourn, five daughters: Isabel Shanahan, Hull, PQ, Christine (Brian) Manning, St. John's, Marie (Sandy) Duffett, Mount Pearl, Bernice Foley, Dauphin, MB and Patricia (Dave) Regular, Harbour Grace; seven sons: Kevin (Vane), Sudbury, ON, Robert Jr. (Judy), Goulds, Edward (Darlene), Espanola, ON, Reginald (Dianne), Riverview, NB, Nicholas (Carol Ann), Mount Pearl, Vincent (Gail), Barrie, ON and John (Tina), Riverview, NB; thirty-three grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace after 7:00 p.m., Thursday, November 10. Funeral mass to take place on Saturday, November 12 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Riverhead, Harbour Grace. Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Harbour Grace.
