BUTT, Gerald - Passed peacefully away at his home in Mount Pearl on Sunday, June 23, 2013, Gerald Butt of Salmon Cove, age 78 years. Retired Sergeant with the Newfoundland Constabulary. Predeceased by parents: John Crosbie and Ethel; step-mother: Susanna and sister: Betty. Leaving to mourn, wife: Ada; five sons: Keith (Heather), Ottawa, ON, Gerald 'Gerry' (Sandra), Tony, Glenn (Jackie) and Trevor (Evelyn), all of Mount Pearl; eleven grandchildren: Nicholas, Alistair, Laura, Matthew, Samantha, Jennifer, Stephanie, Tyler, Kristen, Julia and Kayla; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Monday from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., and Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, June 26 at 2:00 p.m. from Riverside United Church, Salmon Cove. Interment in Riverside United Cemetery, Salmon Cove. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
