PENNEY, Gilbert - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Sunday, December 16, 2012, Gilbert Penney of Carbonear, age 64 years. Predceased by parents: John and Nellie; brother: John; sister-in-law: Elva Penney; nephew: Carson Penney; niece: Joan Penney. Leaving to mourn,one daughter: Lisa (Dave) Antle, Victoria; one son: Gary (Deanna), Mission, BC and their mother: Judy Penney, Victoria; five grandchildren: Jonathan, Alissa, Kayla, Jeremy and Jenna; two brothers: Alfred and Gordon (Pauline), Both of Carbonear; three sisters: Florence (Wilson) Collins, Victoria, Betty (Lloyd) Hollett and Shirley Penney (Desmond Hollett), both of Ontario; also a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, December 19 at 2:00 p.m. from Bethany United Church, Carbonear. Interment in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Gilbert Penney Memorial Fund.
