LEE, Gladys - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, March 16, 2013, Gladys Lee of Heart's Desire, age 79 years. Predeceased by husband: Albert; grandson: Christian; granddaughter: Jacqueline; parents: Alice and Walter Butt; four brothers: Harold, Leonard, Gregory and George; three sisters: Ellen, Rita and Winnifred; sons-in-law: Jack Hurley and Ellis Reid. Leaving to mourn, eight daughters: Mary Hurley (Leo Greene), Heart's Desire, Rose Kennedy (Jim Dunne), Ladysmith, BC, Alice Lee (Ambrose Harnum), Winterton, Maureen Lee (Frazer Loder) and Kathleen Reid, both of Heart's Desire, Juanita (Tony) Critch, Cavendish, Jackie (Shawn) Lahey and Sonya Lee (James Jackson), both of Heart's Desire; four sons: Albert (Marilyn Wilton), High Level, AB, Dominic (Alice Coombs), Heart's Desire, Edmund (Elizabeth Harnum), Hopeall and Patrick (Gladys), Heart's Desire; twenty-one grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; brother: Raymond Butt, Thornlea; sister: Mary Mackey (Levi Peddle), St. John's; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Sacred Heart Mortuary Chapel, Heart's Desire on Tuesday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral mass to take place on Thursday, March 21 at 2:00 p.m. from Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Heart's Desire. Interment in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery, Heart's Desire. As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the Gladys Lee Memorial Fund.
