REES, Gordon C. - Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Friday, November 1, 2013, Gordon C. Rees of Victoria; formerly of Bell Island, age 66 years. Predeceased by parents: George and Mary Ada; sisters: Janette and Thelma; brothers: Garfield and Randy. Leaving to mourn, wife: Rosalind; daughter: Roxanne (Shawn) Payne, Georgetown, ON; son: Curtis Rees, Mississauga, ON; two grandchildren: Samantha and Madison; brothers: Norman (Pat) and Derrick (Tina), both of ON, Allan (Diane), AB and Wayne (Gloria), Conception Bay South; sisters: Betty (Wallace) Parsons, Bell Island, Rosalie Evely (Clayton), Victoria, Linda Pitts, Olive Rees and Donna (Dave) Pitts, all of ON, Margaret (Eric) Dicks, Fair Haven, Edith (Alvin) Hussey and Carol (Lloyd) Hussey, both of Conception Bay South and Cathy (Lyman) Thorburn, NS; and also a number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Saturday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon and 2:00 to 4:30 p.m., followed by a private family service and then at Gordon's request, cremation. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Gordon Rees Memorial Fund.
