Bailey, Harvey - It is with great sadness the family of the late retired Sea Captain of 43 years, Harvey Bailey of Harbour Grace, age 69 years announces his sudden passing at his summer home in Petley, Random Island on Friday, May 10, 2013. Predeceased by mother: Annie Bailey and step- father: Charles (Marjorie) Hodder; brother: Wilson Hodder. Leaving to mourn his wife Eva of 50 years; sons: Wade (Lynn Hindy) and Keith, both of Harbour Grace and Glenn, London, ON; daughter: Joy (Leo), Sambo, Cambridge, ON; daughters-in-law: Wendy Bailey, Harbour Grace and Shantel Wagg, Fort MacMurray, AB; grandchildren: Trevor, Aaron, Mitchell, Ishara, Nathan and Grace whom he adored; brother: Clyde (Carol) Hodder, St. John's; niece Nadine Hodder, St. John's; aunts: Violet Bailey, Petley, Beulah White, St. John's and Marjorie Bailey, Springdale; also a large number of other family and friends including special feline friend, Buddy. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace on Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Monday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Monday, May 13 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Paul's Anglican Church, Harbour Grace. Cremation to follow. Inurnment on Wednesday, May 15 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Paul's Anglican Cemetery, Harbour Grace.
