BURDEN, Hazel- Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Friday, April 18, 2008, Hazel Burden of Carbonear, age 74 years. Predeceased by parents: Douglas and Malina Nicholl. Leaving to mourn: husband: Gerald D.; two daughters: Brenda Thalmann, Durham, North Carolina and Cynthia (Keith) Goldsworthy, Granda Prairie, AB; two sons: Douglas, Edmonton, AB and Scott (Helena), Barrie, ON; six grandchildren: Katie, Amanda, Melissa, Mark (Melissa), LeAnn (Stephen Bartlett) and Courtney; two great-grandchildren: Kaylee and Luke; two sisters: Mary Adams, Harbour Grace and Janie Nicholl, Providence, Rhode Island; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear after 2:00 p.m. Monday. Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, April 22 at 2:00 p.m. from Bethany United Church and Cemetery, Carbonear.
