MERCER, Henry Joseph Sr. - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, January 17, 2008, Henry Joseph Mercer Sr. of Riverhead, Harbour Grace, age 55 years. Predeceased by parents: Henry and Mary; brother-in-law: Bill Fitzgerald. Leaving to mourn, wife: Bridget; one daughter: Wanda Lee Mercer (Craig), Harbour Grace; one son: Henry (Colleen), The Gullies, Riverhead, Hr. Grace; four grandchildren: McKayla, Brooke, Lee and Marylynn; one brother: John (Anne), Riverhead, Hr. Grace; three sisters: Joyce (Ron) Skanes, Riverhead, Hr. Grace, Patsy (Art) Singleton, Tilton and Joan (Wes) Baggs, Bay Roberts; aunts: Bea Galway, Buchans Jct., Rose Mercer and Bride Galway, both of Riverhead, Hr. Grace; uncles: Gerald (Gert) Mercer, Carbonear and Linus (Veronica) Mercer, Tilton; nieces: Rhonda (Ronnie) and Tracy; nephews: David, Raymond, Shane, Chad, Adam and Jordan; father-in-law: Bern Fitzgerald; sisters-in-law: Elsie (Walter) Whalen and Gladys Vokey; brothers-in-law: Rendell (Bernice) Fitzgerald, Bernie Jr. (Mary) Fitzgerald, Mike (Sadie) Galway, Patrick (Marylyn) Galway, Kevin (Dorothy) Galway and Joseph Galway; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at NOEL'S FUNERAL HOME, HARVEY STREET, HARBOUR GRACE and from where the funeral will take place on Monday, January 21 at 10:00 a.m. Mass to take place at 10:30 a.m. from St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Riverhead, Hr. Grace. Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Harbour Grace.
