ROBBINS, Irene (Lewis) - Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Wednesday, May 29, 2013, Irene (Lewis) Robbins in her 84th year. Predeceased by parents: Eva (Smith) and Caleb Lewis; husband: Caleb Robbins (1979); common-law-spouse: Joseph Power (2012); daughter: Joan (1981); son-in-law: Charles Bursey (2005); son: Phillip (1952); brothers: Herbert (Susie), Donald (Carrie), Frank, Philip and Richard; sister: Ella (Abram) Penny; brothers-in-law: Edward Lewis and William Wilson; special aunt: Evelyn Clarke (2013). Leaving to mourn, daughters: Jean (Graham) Tilley, Judy (Harry) Rogers and June (James) Strong; sons: John (Lori) and Caleb Junior; grandchildren: Robert (Lea Ann), Trent (Heather), Phillip, Gregory (Denise), Dennis (Renee), Walter, Lori (Wayne), Brendon, Glenda (Anthony), Tony (Nikki), Shelley (Scott) and Lucy; great-grandchildren: Breanna, Hannah Jean, Oliver, Carter, Leah, Alicia, Coady, Zachary, Carley, Mackenzie Joan, Emily, Olivia and the joy of her life, Connor; sisters: Joan (John) Tyson, Nellie Lewis and Anne Wilson; sisters-in-law: Jean, Doris and Jane; brother: Wallace (Shirley) Lewis; also a large number of nieces, nephews and other family and friends. The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at the Health Sciences Centre, the residents and staff at Admirals Coast Retirement Centre, Kelligrews and the residents and staff at the Pentecostal Nursing Home, Clarke's Beach. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive relatives and friends at Noel's Funeral Home, Western Bay on Saturday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Sunday, June 2 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Western Bay. Inurnment in the Salvation Army Cemetery, Lower Island Cove. Donations in her memory may be made to the Salvation Army Building Fund, Lower Island Cove.
