PARSONS, James H. - Passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family at the Carbonear General Hospital on Friday, February 8, 2013, James H. Parsons of Freshwater, Carbonear, age 89 years. Predeceased by wife: Mabel; son: Douglas; parents: George and Julianne Parsons; sister: Nellie Oates; brother: Leonard; daughter-in-law: Marilyn Parsons-Antle. Leaving to mourn, eight daughters: Judy (Lloyd) Green, Carbonear, Elsie (Will) Collins, Victoria, Dallas (Eric) Parsons, Freshwater, Carbonear, Helen (Hubert) Parsons, Salmon Cove, Leona (Randy) King and Susan (Dennis) Green, both of Freshwater, Carbonear, Claudia (Bernie) Woodrow, Salmon Cove and Claudette (David) White, Freshwater, Carbonear; five sons: Bert (Frederica), Nelson and Jim (Denise), all of Carbonear, Evan (Barbara) and Junior (Bonnie), both of Freshwater, Carbonear; a large number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; two sisters: Sarah Hatcher, Bonne Bay and Ethel Deering, Freshwater, Carbonear; daughter-in-law: Harriet Parsons, Salmon Cove; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Funeral service to take place on Monday, February 11 at 2:00 p.m. from Bethel Pentecostal Church, Victoria. Interment in Bethel Pentecostal Cemetery, Victoria. As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to the Epilepsy Society of NL.
