O'LEARY, Jean - Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, St. John's on Tuesday, October 16, 2012, Jean O'Leary of Carbonear; formerly of Harbour Grace, age 78 years. Predeceased by husband: Gerald; parents: James and Lillian Piercey; sister: Myrtle Piercey. Leaving to mourn, two daughters: Jo-anne (Michael) Ethridge, Kitchener, ON and Karen (Davur) Hoj, Strendur, Faeroe Islands; three sons: Terry (Kim), Torbay, Michael (Denise), Bay Roberts and Brian, Harbour Grace; thirteen grandchildren: Michael, Amanda, Aiden, Jennifer, Brian, Theresa, Kerry, Sarah, Courtney, Krista, Joshua, Matthew and Samantha; ten great-grandchildren; three brothers: Gerald (Amy) Piercey, St. John's, Ralph Piercey, Carbonear and Melvin (Emma) Piercey, Heart's Content; four sisters: Edna (Herb) Crocker, Heart's Content, Margaret (George) Penney, Carbonear, Sylvia (Bill) Peddle, Harbour Grace and Lorna (Dave) George, Heart's Content; also a large number of other relatives and friends. At Jean's request, cremation has taken place. The family will receive relatives and friends at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace on Thursday, October 18 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place on Friday, October 19 at 10:00 a.m. from St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Carbonear. Inurnment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Harbour Grace. As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NL.
