ANTHONY, Jean Vaters - Passed peacefully away at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Thursday, April 25, 2013, Jean Vaters Anthony of Carbonear, age 81 years. Predeceased by 1st husband: Bill Vaters; 2nd husband: George Anthony; son-in-law: Howard Wareham; parents: Gordon and Lillian Butt; brothers: George, Herbert and Donald; sister: Sophie. Leaving to mourn, three daughters: Judy Wareham (Kenny), Grand Falls-Windsor, Wanda Penney, Carbonear and Tina (Scott) Usher, Tottenham, ON; two sons: Bob (Kala) Vaters, Grand Falls-Windsor and Scott Vaters (Mildred), Carbonear; eleven grandchildren: Paul, Joanne, Bill, Mark, Matthew, Michael, Ryan, Colin, Kimberly, Brady and Sarah; four great-grandchildren: Nicole, Tyler, Aiden and Luke; four brothers: Gordon (Florence) Butt and Moses (Fran) Butt, both of Carbonear, Bruce (Debbie) Butt, Alberta and Gary (Joanne) Butt, Carbonear; one sister: Joan (Dan) Burke, Carbonear; special friend: Reg Clarke, Botwood; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Monday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Monday, April 29 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Carbonear. Interment in the United Church Cemetery, Victoria. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal.
