Predeceased by first wife: Edna (June 1998); second wife: Jean (Jan. 2011); son: Howard (May 2012); parents: Silas and Florence; daughter-in-law: Linda Penney; sister-in-law: Lucy Penney. Leaving to mourn, two daughters: Joy Mutrey, Goose Bay and Ruth (Frank) Carter, Mount Pearl; six sons: Victor (Joan), Churchill Falls, Clarence (Carolyn), ON, James (Karla), New Harbour, John (Patsy), Goose Bay, Scott (Trudy), ON and Garry (Fern), Mount Pearl; daughter-in-law: Jean Penney, Summerford; twenty-eight grandchildren; forty-two great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; one brother: Samuel Penney, Carbonear; one sister: Mary (Graham) Baldwin, Carbonear; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, Mount Pearl on Saturday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Monday, July 2 at 11:00 a.m. from Park Avenue Pentecostal Church, Mount Pearl.
