MONKS, Kevin Aloysius - It is with our deepest regrets that we announce the sudden passing of Kevin Monks, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who passed away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, June 29. Predeceased by his son William Kevin. Leaving to mourn his loving wife: Claudia; three daughters: Terri (Allan) Pelan, Eden Mills, Ontario, Eileen Monks, Oakville, Ontario and Jackie Murphy (John) Dinn, Salmon Cove; grandchildren: Jessica, Will, Stephanie and Sarah; great-granddaughter: Abigaile and family dog: Harley. Also leaving to mourn is his family in Ireland and brothers-in-law: John (Gladys) Slade and family, Victoria and Howard (Carol) Slade and family, Salmon Cove and a large circle of friends. At Kevin's request, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life service to take place on Sunday, July 7 at 2:00 p.m. at Kevin's residence, 3 Riverside Drive, Salmon Cove. The Irish wake to follow at 4:00 p.m. at Jackie's residence, 2-4 Highway East, Salmon Cove. A private inurnment to be held at a later date at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, St. John's.
