HOPKINS, Leamond W. - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, May 23, 2012, Leamond W. Hopkins of Carbonear, age 87 years. Predeceased by wife: Stella; infant daughter: Jean; parents: Willis and Rowena Hopkins; baby brother: William George; sister: Jemima Evelyn. Leaving to mourn, six daughters: Lorraine (Hedley) Fong, Spaniard's Bay, Judy (Glenn) Rose, Salmon Cove, June Hopkins, Margaret Hopkins and Evelyn (Derek) Ash, all of Carbonear and Bonnie Hopkins, Little Britain, ON; four sons: George (Evelyn), Freshwater, Carbonear, Elvis (Alvina), Carbonear, Woodrow (Beverly), Riverhead, Harbour Grace and Michael (Alicia), Carbonear; nineteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two brothers: Harrison, Edmonton, AB and Llewellyn (Mildred), Carbonear; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, May 26 at 2:00 p.m. from Calvary Pentecostal Church, Carbonear. Interment in Calvary Pentecostal Cemetery, Carbonear. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Carbonear General Hospital Palliative Care Unit c/o TCP Health Foundation.
