PENNEY, Malcolm - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, September 11, 2013, Malcolm Penney of Carbonear, age 80 years. Predeceased by sons: Robert and Bramwell; parents: Chesley and Ina; brother: Neville. Leaving to mourn, wife: Evelyn; three daughters: Gloria Penney, St. Thomas, ON, Renee (Oscar) Wareham, Carbonear and Christine (Jeremy) White, Stephenville; one son: Neville (Pansy), Carbonear; daughter-in-law: Madonna (Randy) Crane, Mount Pearl; six grandchildren: Amanda, Melissa, Stephen, Matthew, Daniel and Justin; three great-grandchildren: Rhea, Dylon and Hayden; six brothers: Ches (Iris), Penney, Manuels, George (Helen) Penney, St. John's, Jordan (Helen) Penney, Jim Penney (Beatrice Piercy), Orville (Betty) Penney and Fred (Anne) Penney, all of Grand Falls-Windsor; four sisters: Elizabeth (Hallett) Winter and Anna (Alex) Thistle, both of Grand Falls-Windsor, Norma (Calvin) Pilgrim, Bay Roberts and Glenis (Glenn) Murray, Carbonear; also a large number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Thursday, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Saturday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, September 14 at 2:00 p.m. from the Salvation Army Citadel, Carbonear. Interment in the Salvation Army Cemetery, Carbonear. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Salvation Army Citadel, Carbonear.
