SWAIN, Marcella - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Monday, March 12, 2012, Marcella Swain of Carbonear, age 90 years. Predeceased by husband: Herbert; parents: William and Nellie Churchill; brother: Ted Churchill; sister: Leila Rose; sister-in-law: Joyce Churchill; brothers-in-law: Hedley Ash and Oscar Rose. Leaving to mourn, one sister: Beatrice Ash, Harbour Grace; nephews: Derek (Evelyn) Ash, Carbonear and Winston Churchill, New Brunswick; nieces: Joy Prince, Saskatchewan, Doreen (Frank) Jamieson, British Columbia, Linda (Donny) Driver, Ontario, Jeanette (Gilles) Soucy, Quebec and Rhonda (Peter) Reid, Nova Scotia; great-nephews: Jason, Bradley, Christopher (Chantel), Daniel, Devin, Mario and Brian; great-nieces: Jade, Jenna, Katie, Quinn (John), Kelly, Melissa (Steve), Monica (Sebastian), Jennifer and Joyce; great-great-nieces: Haylee, Hannah, Candace and Sarah; great-great-nephews: Graham, Gabriel and Colby; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear with visitation hours by request of the family on Tuesday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from Bethany United Church, Carbonear. Interment in Park Avenue United Cemetery, Carbonear South. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the Children's Wish Foundation.
