SLADE, Meta Beryl - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Sunday, August 18, 2013, Meta Beryl Slade of Salmon Cove, age 92 years. Predeceased by husband: Herbert C; brothers: Augustus and Roland; sisters: Grace, Neta and Constance; three infant siblings; brothers-in-law: Ralph, Chesley, Thomas and John; sisters-in-law: Gertrude, Cecily, Ascenith, Lillian and Mildred. Leaving to mourn, two daughters: Hilda (Art) Curnew, Kingston and Glenda (Wayne) Burke, Victoria; three sons: Karl (Rita), Kelvin (Jennifer) and Allister (Janice), all of Salmon Cove; fifteen grandchildren: Tanya, Kirsty, Chad, Melanie, Lee, Dewey, Thomas, Michael, Shawn, Sherry (their mother Yvonne), Zachary, Emma, Charli, Bradley and Tyler; fifteen great-grandchildren: Brittany, Joshua, Jasmine, Cloe, Hannah, Abigail, Madison, Troy, Jordan, Harmony, Hudson, Hailey, Austin, Noah and Liam; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, August 20 at 2:00 p.m. from Riverside United Church, Salmon Cove.
