SLADE, Myles - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Monday, July 30, 2012, Myles Slade of Salmon Cove, age 92 years. Predeceased by wife: Ivy; parents: James and Flora Slade; son-in-law: David Bradbury; brothers: Ezekiel, Jabez and Albert; sisters: Adlena and Louise. Leaving to mourn, one daughter: Beverley Bradbury, Peterborough, ON; four sons: Joseph (Ethel Cole), Salmon Cove, Everett (Maureen), Scarborough, ON, Bert (Helen), Ajax, ON and Harrison, Peterborough, ON; eight grandchildren: Gail (Ed), Joseph (Cindy), Andrew (Rumi), Kyra (Tim), Cherie (Jim), Colleen (Jason), Christopher (Patricia) and Marie (Phillip); nine great-grandchildren: John, Sabrina, Spencer, Erika, Karen, Jonathan, Cameron, Jillian and Gabrielle; one sister: Susie (Harrison) Noseworthy, Stittsville, ON; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear with visitation hours by request of the family on Tuesday from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.; Wednesday from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. and Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Thursday, August 2 at 2:00 p.m. from Riverside United Church, Salmon Cove. Interment in Riverside United Cemetery, Salmon Cove. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to Riverside United Church or to a charity of one's choice.
