McDONNELL, Rita H. - Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Friday, October 14, 2011, Rita H. McDonnell of Northern Bay, formerly of Birmingham, England, age 77 years. Predeceased by parents: William and Gladys Baker; common-law-spouse: Edison Bursey. Leaving to mourn, daughter: Samantha (Colin) Bursey, Burnt Point; two grandchildren: Cameron and Erica; one sister: Val (Michael) Martin, Halesowen, West Midlands, England; cousins: Mike (Betty) Baker, Cath (Roy) Wood, Pauline (Fred) Porter and Gill (Doug) Bailey; close family friends: Harry (Marion) Biant, Barbara Webb, Barbara Cull, Byron (Linda) Bursey and family; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay. Funeral service to take place on Monday, October 17 at 2:00 p.m. from Memorial United Church, Burnt Point. Cremation to follow.
