COLBOURNE, Ruth E. - Passed peacefully away at the Interfaith Citizen's Home, Carbonear on Thursday, April 4, 2013, Ruth E. Colbourne of Carbonear, age 90 years. Predeceased by husband: Arthur; son: Wayne; infant daughter: Ena June; brothers: Frank, Frederick, Raymond and Warren; sisters: Jean Miller Smith and Lucy Greening. Leaving to mourn, eight children: Fred (Florence), Harbour Grace, Betty (Raymond) Robertson and Bill (Lydia), both of Palm Bay, FL, Harold (Cathy), Winterton, Diane (John) Galway, Raymond, Roland and Glenn (Lisa), all of Carbonear; sixteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; brother: Morley (Madge) Berkshire, Clarenville; sisters: Evelyn Byrne, New Hampshire, USA and Olive (Baden) Powell, George's Brook; sister-in-law: Evelyn Berkshire, Cold Lake, AB; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Thursday from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m.; Friday from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, April 6 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Carbonear. Cremation to follow. A private family inurnment will be held in St. James Anglican Cemetery, Carbonear.
