Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family at Carbonear General Hospital on June 22, 2024, Ruth McCarthy of Harbour Grace, age 90 years.
Predeceased by husband: Edward; parents: George and Violet Pike; grandson: Barry McCarthy; brothers: Gerald, Doug (Una), Art (Susie), Roy, George (Grace), and David; sisters: Mary (Duncan) Hunt, Joyce (Leo) Yetman; sister-in-law: Marie Pike.
Leaving to mourn, daughter: Dianne (Kirk) Peach; three sons: James (Gloria), David (Joan), and Brian (Gloria); four grandchildren: Charles (Melanie), Kevin (Lindsey), Deanne (Tommy), and Kyle (Heather); eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two brothers: Lorne and Rendell (Mary); sister: Violet (William) Sheppard; special nephew: Victor McCarthy; sister-in-law: Marie Pike; also a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation at Noel's Funeral Home, Harbour Grace on Wednesday, June 26 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Funeral service to take place on Thursday, June 27 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Funeral Home, Harbour Grace.
At the families request burial to be held at a later date.
